Songlist

MEET THE SHIRTS
Starting out as a 3-piece acoustical group things took a turn towards the "electric" in 1996 and The Shirts haven't looked back.

B. John Burns

No, B. John is not in the top photo.  John IS a consummate keyboard player  who lives in the Des Moines area and works as a Federal Public Defender.  He has performed with the Shirts on a couple of previous occasions and he will be setting in with the band whenever his schedule allows.

David Hurst
Oh, what a difference a harp makes! Dave provides a lot of energy and depth to the sound. He has been known to do a little singing as well. Dave is from the Mt. Vernon area and spends the school year working for the Grant Wood Area Education Agency and his summer months listening to the rest of the band gripe about his free time.
Tyler Johnston
Lead guitarist and always willing to play out, Tyler is accomplished on both electric and acoustic guitar. You hear mostly the electric side, but he can pick a little too. He even steps up to the microphone once in awhile (but then we catch him and make him go back to his corner). From Cedar Rapids, Tyler is a Linn County Public Defender.
Tim Ross-Boon
Lead vocals, rythm guitar and one of the founding members, Timmy has the vocal range necessary to cover the array of tunes in the Shirt's song list. The boy can do Roy. Leaving us for the Des Moines area, Tim is now a Federal Public Defender and works with B. John.
Charlie Jacoby
The "Doctor of Rock" Charlie provides the bottom end to The Shirts sound. As the bassist and another one of the founding members, Charlie has seen a lot of changes in the group and has been a steady influence over the years. Charlie lives in the Swisher area and is a radiologist at VA hospital in Iowa City.
Jeff Clark
Coming out of a 20 year retirement, Jeff has once again found "the pocket". If the nightclub Polly's Penthouse, or bands like Brass Unlimited or Madness ring any bells, 1) you are really old and 2) you may recognize Jeff as a drummer and singer from a couple of CR bands that were popular in the 70's. Jeff is from Cedar Rapids and is an assistant Linn County attorney.
